D-shackles (or dee shackles) are used as any easy strong way of connecting parts together, but occasionally we need something with an extra wide opening (and correspondingly long shackle pin) just to get that extra reach.  Our wide D-shackles often do the job here, take a look at the dimensions that come with each size to see check the fit for your situation.
